I’m Katy Kennedy, a global creative leader with a focus on brand building and digital retail solutions. With an MFA in design, heart for storytelling, and passion for photography, I love leading creative initiatives that celebrate place and people.
The then / the now
A West Coast native who’s lived in New York, Mexico, and Europe, I’ve worked in different aspects of the creative field—from retail and brand design to publishing and advertising—all teaching me to consider and celebrate the human side of design. I’m currently an Executive Creative Director at Amazon’s Brand Innovation Lab, where I drive advertising initiatives for partner brands like Apple, Nintendo, Adidas, and L’Oréal.
I juggle many roles in my work—creative director, art director, agency director, mentor—all of which ladder up to the task of solving complex creative problems. I lead with empathy and advocate for equitable design. Ultimately, I aim to use my creative leadership to lift those around me and leave this place more beautiful than I found it.
